FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions)

1.  How do I determine my nail size for the press-on's?

There are many options to determine your nail size.  Please see the link https://pressedbyjenni.com/pages/sizing.  Here you will find the 3 options to measure your nail bed which are a soft measuring tape, masking/scotch clear tape and/or by purchasing a sizing here https://pressedbyjenni.com/products/sizing-kit

2.  How long will the press-on nails lasts?

The longevity determines on the initial application.  If you prep your nail bed well the press-on nails can last between 2 - 3 weeks.  If you do not prep well you may get a 3 days worth of usage according to my testing and research.

3. How do I prep my nails?

Each order will arrive with a prep kit and instructions on how to prep your nails.  This is a very important step in determining the longevity of your nail wear.

4.  How do I size my nails?

  • Sizing Kits:  One you receive your sizing kit you may take the nail from 0 - 9 or 0 - 10 and place it on your nail bed, please do not force the nail on as it will cause pinching once it is glued on and cause severe pain.  Also, once glued or it will easily pop off.  If you are in between sizes choose the bigger size and file the sides carefully to your liking.  I do this all the time and it works =). You may purchase a sizing kit here https://pressedbyjenni.com/products/sizing-kit
  • Tape Measure Method:  Use a soft tape measure and measure the widest part of your nail bed side wall to side wall. Use millimeters (mm) when measuring.  Please see instructions here: https://pressedbyjenni.com/pages/sizing
  • Scotch Tape:  Take a piece of tape and place on your nail bed.  Using a marker preferably or pen make a line on each part of the side walls, on the widest part of the nail bed.  You will then take the tape place it on a flat surface and use a ruler to measure in millimeters (mm).

5.  Are the press-on nails reusable?

Yes, the press-on nails are reusable depending on your method of adhesion.

  • Adhesion with Glue - To remove use a bowl and add any type of oil, I use vegetable, along with dish soap or soap of choice, and warm water). You will need to soak off in warm soapy water for 15 - 20 minutes at a time, take the cuticle pusher and see if the nail easily lifts. If it does not you may add minimal pressure to help it lift and continue to do this until it is removed. Please be careful and do not force the nail off as it will be painful and cause damage to the nails. Use the double filer to remove the left over glue.
  • Adhesion with Nail Tabs - To remove the nails soak in water for 5 minutes or so and it will detach quickly. Ensure to remove gel tab from your nail bed or press-on.

    6.  What other items will I receive in my press-on order?

Along with your set of 10 nails, you will receive a prep kit which includes:

    • 1 Mini buffer
    • 1 wooden cuticle pusher
    • 1 Mini Double filer
    • 1 press-on nail glue
    • 1 pack of nail tabs
    • 2 Alcohol pads

    7.  Do you accept returns?

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the products being hand painted and particular to the customer returns are NOT ACCEPTED.  Please ensure to measure your nail bed correctly and if you purchase a sizing kit, please ensure to choose the correct size, do not force the nail on the nail bed as it will cause pain and the nail may pop off shortly after.
